Who Are We?
Pocket-Sized Treasures is a fundraising program created to help schools, churches, clubs, and community organizations turn small donated items into meaningful fundraising dollars.The program is operated by Junk in the Trunk DFW, an experienced online auction and estate liquidation company. We handle the behind-the-scenes work, including researching items, photographing and cataloging them, managing online auctions, communicating with buyers, collecting payments, and coordinating pickup or shipping.Our goal is to make fundraising simpler by helping communities turn things they already have into something that can make a real difference.We also believe in being clear about how the program works. Pocket-Sized Treasures is not a nonprofit organization, and donated items are not automatically tax-deductible. If tax deductibility is important to your organization or donors, we recommend checking with your organization or tax professional before participating.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do items need to be new?No. Used, vintage, partially used, and imperfect items may still be great donations.
Can perfume and cosmetics be partially used?Yes. Full and partially used fragrance bottles, samples, and select cosmetics can all be useful.
How small should donated items be?A simple rule of thumb: if it fits in a shoebox, let us take a look.
